September 2019 – In collaboration with the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade, a six-day workshop on “Drying Wood in Conventional Dryers” was organized. The purpose of this training was to provide participants with knowledge in the following areas:
• Effect of timber structure on drying; Wood-water ratio; Wood moisture measurement
• Wood weighting; Stacking and filling the dryer
• Conventional dryer equipment and equipment controls; Phases of drying; Influencing factors – temperature, equilibrium humidity, circulation rate; Drying modes
• Drying errors and how to avoid them; Modifications of the regime
